Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was who was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her hometown. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from a Jewish background. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. There, they didn't have electricity. Ryder read a lot due to the absence of television. Ryder started taking classes in acting in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. In the year she turned fifteen, she landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her teenage years. She thought that by becoming an actor, her bullying would be changed. However, it didn't occur. Still she continued pursuing her goals. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder continued to be successful in her roles in many movies. In 1993, she was awarded an Oscar Awards for The Age of Innocence.
