Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. The singer's career has taken her from Broadway to European events and clubs, and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta currently, she is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician, playing and singing at the church in town. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. She was the main pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as Choral Director of Dreamgirls the stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of the nation during four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
