Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Tamil and Telugu films, in addition to several Malayalam films. She received the National Film Award for Best Actress in the role of the role of actress Savitri for the Telugu movie Mahanati (2018). She has also won three SIIMA Awards as well as a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the daughter filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar, and actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her first career was a children's actress. Later, after studying Fashion Design, she re-entered acting. She had her first lead performance in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first projects outside of Malayalam and signed up to participate in a variety of Tamil film projects simultaneously. Her debut film came in A. L. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015) which was a co-production with Vikram Prabhu. The film did not perform well in the theater. To make room for larger projects due to her hectic schedule, she was forced to opt from a few films which she started to work on. This included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye (a love story) as well as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. In a short time she collaborated together with Sivakarthikeyan for Rajini Murugan, Remo and was also the lead actor in Prabhu Sool's Thodari with Dhanush. The film that she played in was her Telugu debut had been planned to be titled Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. The film has been delayed in 2015, and there are reports that it would be released in September in 2020 under the new name Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), with Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay in Bairavaa by Bharathan the film, which debuted on 17 January 2017.
